Billy D. Scott

Billy D. Scott, 90, formerly of Streator passed away peacefully Saturday, January 28, 2017 surrounded by his loving family.
Funeral services will be at 6:00 P.M. Thursday at the Solon-Telford Funeral Home, Streator. Rev. Bill Callister of St. Paul’s Evangelical Lutheran Church will officiate.
Visitation will be from 4-6 P.M. Thursday at the Solon-Telford Funeral Home, Streator.
Private family graveside services will be held on Friday at Hillcrest Memorial Park, Streator. Full military rites will be accorded by members of the Leslie G. Woods American Legion Post 217 and the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 1492.
Born July 29, 1926 in Constance, Kentucky he was the son of John and Delilah (Florence) Scott. He married Louise Wooldridge on August 2, 1957 in Indiana. She preceded him in death on January 8, 1994.
He is survived by daughters, Terri Pfalzgraf of Streator and Toni (Joe) Bieritz of Plano; sons, Brian Scott of Henderson, Nevada and Greg (Paige) Scott of Yorkville; grandchildren, Christopher Pfalzgraf, Ryan Pfalzgraf, Alec Scott, Nathan Scott, Kara (Marc) Johnson, Rob (Sam) Bieritz, Kelly (Christopher) Becker, Crystal (Jed) Cryder, Derek Danko and Carlee Bieritz; 10 great grandchildren; a sister, Leslie (Gordon) Craig of Florida; brothers, John (Lois) Scott of Indiana and Ray (Donna) Scott of Florida.; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins also survive.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife; a grandson, Eric Pfalzgraf; 3 sisters and 3 brothers.
He served in the United States Army during WW II.
He was Senior Vice President of Union National Bank of Streator for over 30 years from where he retired.
He was a former member of St. Paul’s Evangelical Lutheran Church. He also belonged to the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 1492 and the Mason’s.
