Donna J. Segovich

Donna J. Segovich, 83, of Streator passed away Monday, July 17, 2017 at O.S.F. St. Joseph’s Medical Center in Bloomington.

Mass of Christian Burial will be at 12:00 P.M. Friday at St. Michael the Archangel Church, Streator. Fr. Ray Guthrie will officiate.

Visitation will be from 9:30 A.M.-11:30 A.M. Friday at the Solon-Telford Funeral Home, Streator. The rosary will be recited at 9:00 A.M.

Burial will be in St. Stephen’s Cemetery, Streator. Pallbearers will be Fred, Jack, Rick and Joe Segovich; Gary Chiavini and Jason Lawrence.

Born April 24, 1934 in Streator she was the daughter of Lyle and Grace (Martin) Redmen. She married Rudolph “Rudy” Segovich on July 27, 1957 at St. Stephen’s Church, Streator. He preceded her in death on May 17, 2000.

She is survived by a son, Dan (Susan) Segovich of Streator; grandchildren Tom Segovich of Bloomington and Kelsey Segovich of Streator; and a sister, Gladys (Robert) Freese of Ottawa.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; a sister, Sis Drysdale and a brother, Sam Redmen.

Donna lived her lifetime in the Grand Ridge and Streator area. She attended Grand Ridge Grade School and graduated from Streator High School.

She had previously worked at Anthony Company. She was a member of the former St. Stephen’s Church and currently belonged to St. Michael the Archangel Church.

Donna loved spending time with her family especially her two grandchildren.

Memorials may be directed to the American Cancer Society.
