Dorothy J. Klein, 94, of Streator passed away Friday, April 14, 2017 at Heritage Health Therapy and Senior Care, Streator.

Private graveside services will be held on Thursday, May 4, 2017 in Streator, Illinois.

Solon-Telford Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.

Born January 1, 1923 in Streator she was the daughter of Victor Nycz and Zofia (Miekina) Nycz. She married Thomas L. Klein on June 7, 1941. He preceded her in death on April 12, 2006 as well as her oldest daughter, Susan L. Klein in August of 1992.

She is survived by a daughter, S. Kaye Klein of NYC; and grandchildren, Rex Marshall, Melody Marshall-Fehn; and Christine Darrow and only great grandchild, a granddaughter Olivia R. Fehn..

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; a daughter; brothers, Walter, Ted and Chester Nycz; and a sister, Pauline Lenac.

She was a long time member of UFCW Local 367 when she worked for Food Expo and Rudy's. She had other employment with Guzzardo’s Book Nook and JC Penney post retirement.

She was a member of the former Immaculate Conception Church. She was also a member of the VFW Auxiliary and Polish National Alliance Hall.
