Eric Christopher Promenschenkel

Eric Christopher Promenschenkel, 52, of Downers Grove and formerly of Streator passed away unexpectedly Tuesday, February 6, 2018 at his residence in Downers Grove.

There will be a visitation on Sunday, February 11, 2018 from 2:00 to 6:00 P.M. at Toon Funeral Home, 4620 Main Street, Downers Grove 60515.

On Monday, February 12, 2018, there will be a visitation from 9-11 A.M. at the Solon Telford Funeral Home, 301 South Park Street, Streator, IL.

Mass will be at 11:30 A.M. Monday at St. Michael the Archangel Catholic Church with burial to follow at Hillcrest Memorial Park, Streator, IL. Rev. Fr. Raymond Guthrie will officiate. Pallbearers will be Bo Felt, Mike Lehman, Rob Jost, Austin Uhing, Mark Leskanich and Butch Leskanich.

Born February 23, 1965 in Streator he was the son of Chris and Arlene (Leskanich) Promenschenkel. He married Kerri Campbell on April 16, 1988. She survives in Downers Grove.

He is also survived by his parents, Chris and Arlene Promeschenkel of Streator; sisters, Lisa (Rob) Jost of West Chicago and Lori Uhing of Brighton, CO ; mother in law, Sandy Campbell of Streator; sister in law, Kim Roberts of Downers Grove; nieces and nephews, Mollie Roberts (Bo) Felt of Sturgis, MI, Abbey Roberts (Mike) Lehman of New York, NY, Maggie Roberts of Downers Grove, Sean, Bethany, Alaina and Alex Jost of West Chicago, Austin and McKenna Uhling of Brighton, CO.

He was preceded in death by his father in law, Frank Campbell.

Born and raised in Streator he attended Streator Grade Schools (Kimes and St. Stephens), attended Marquette High School and graduated from Streator High School in 1983. He is a DeVry graduate.

He worked as a Senior Director of Services for Siemens Healthineers. He has worked with the company for 31 years.

Eric enjoyed ballroom dancing with his wife, Kerri, and they both shared a passion for the Chicago Blackhawks. He loved to travel and see new places and enjoyed spending time with his family. Eric always had a yard that everybody admired, and if there was anything that needed to be fixed he could do it.

He was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church of Downers Grove and a former member of St. Michael the Archangel Catholic Church in Streator. He was also 3rd Degree member of the Msgr. George A. Dzuryo Knights of Columbus Council #790 in Streator.
