Frank J. Katanich

Frank J. “Butch” Katanich, 62 , of Streator passed away Wednesday, February 22, 2017 at Parker Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Streator, Illinois.

Funeral services will be at 1:00 P.M. Saturday at the Solon-Telford Funeral Home, Streator. Rev. Rodney Kreier will officiate.

Visitation will be from 11:00 AM until 1:00 PM on Saturday at the Solon-Telford Funeral Home, Streator.

Cremation rites will be accorded following the services. Private family burial will be held at a later date in St. Anthony Cemetery, Streator.

Born September 20, 1954 in Streator he was the son of Frank Katanich and Patricia (Stortz) Henriksen.

He is survived by daughters, Amanda (John) Davis of Magnolia and Melissa Stemas of Streator; grandchildren, Ashley Negray, Tyler and Katlyn Miller and Aleceya Davis; great grandchildren, Kali and Chloe Fialko; sisters, Kathy Rogers of Streator, Penny (Gino) Marcum of Pineville, Missouri and Jeannie Bush of Georgia; and a brother, Bill Katanich of Elkorn, Wisconsin.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Frank Katanich and Patricia Henriksen; his step-father, Eugene Henriksen, sisters, Cindy Henriksen and Christine Berninger; a brother, Scott Henriksen; and his long-time companion, Paula Lurz.

Born and raised in Streator Butch attended St. Anthony Grade School and Streator High School.

He worked at Dependable Manufacturing for many years until his retirement.
