Geraldine F. Lynch

Geraldine F. Lynch, 70, of Streator passed away Thursday, April 13, 2017 at O.S.F. Center for Health, Streator.

Funeral services will be at 11:00 A.M. Wednesday at the Solon-Telford Funeral Home, Streator. Rev. Fr. Ray Guthrie will officiate.

Visitation will be from 9-11 A.M. Wednesday at the Solon-Telford Funeral Home, Streator.

Burial will be in St. Anthony Cemetery, Streator. Family members will serve as pallbearers.

Born June 18, 1946 in Chicago she was the daughter of Arthur and Rita (Canty) Lynch.

She is survived by sisters, Patricia Goodrich of Streator, Shirley Bangert of Arizona, Genevieve Lynch of Streator, Margaret Dignan of Chicago, Rita Rosario of Streator and Dorothy Milam of Virginia; brothers, Arthur Lynch of Streator and Thomas (Theresa) Lynch of Indiana; numerous nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews also survive.

She was preceded in death by her parents; a brother, John Lynch; a niece, Sharon Bangert; and nephews, Edward Bangert, Thomas Bangert and William Rosario.

Born and raised in Chicago she attended Our Lady of the Sorrows Grade School.

She worked for St. Joseph’s Nursing Home in Chicago for many years before coming to Streator in 1976. She then worked for St. Mary’s Hospital as a Nurse’s Aide and in Housekeeping until her retirement.

She was a member of the former St. Anthony Church and currently belonged to St. Michael the Archangel Parish.
