Helen M. Carr

Mrs. Helen Hersheway Carr, 100, of Ashland, KY, passed away peacefully Thursday February 16, 2017 at her granddaughter’s home.

A memorial visitation will be from 1-2 P.M. Friday, March 17, 2017 at the Solon-Telford Funeral Home, Streator. Burial follow immediately in Riverview Cemetery.

Helen was born to the late Andrew and Mary Kudrick on March 25, 1916. Helen was a homemaker for her family and caregiver to many. She is survived by her daughter Carolyn Hersheway Eggleston and son in law Norman, and her son James L. Hersheway. She is also survived by six grandchildren, Gina Dickens, Kelly Bustetter and her husband Charles, Todd Eggleston and his wife Julie, Jaime Daugherty and her husband Bradley all of Kentucky, Lori Winn and her husband Daniel and James Hersheway and his wife Melanie, both of Illinois. Helen is survived by ten great grandchildren and one great great grandchild.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by one granddaughter, Kimberly Ann Eggleston, one daughter in law, Rosemary Hersheway, and four sisters, Mary Bennett, Louise Defenbaugh, Rita Miller, Roma Pasterik and one brother, Richard Pouk, her husbands Ernest J Hersheway and Arlen Carr.
