Krista R. Mitchell

Krista R. Defenbaugh-Mitchell, 45, of Streator passed away Wednesday, April 26, 2017 at O.S.F. St. Francis Medical Center in Peoria with her family by her side.

Funeral services will be at 12:00 P.M. Monday at the Solon-Telford Funeral Home, Streator. Msgr. Philip Halfacre will officiate.

Visitation will be from 9:00 A.M. until the time of services on Monday at the Solon-Telford Funeral Home, Streator.

Honorary pallbearers will be her brothers, David Defenbaugh and Brad Defenbaugh, her aunt Joyce Redfern and godparents Lillian Goluba and Michael Luckey.

Cremation rites will be accorded following the services.

Born June 4, 1971 in Pekin she was the daughter of John and Sharon (Luckey) Defenbaugh. She married Christopher Mitchell in August of 2009.

She is survived by a daughter, Jessica (Kevin Robertson) Defenbaugh of Streator; a son, Blaine Mitchell of Streator; grandchildren, Sabastian and Kamri Robertson; her mother, Sharon Defenbaugh of Streator; her father, John (Sandy) Defenbaugh of Streator; brothers, Bradley Defenbaugh and David Defenbaugh both of Streator; numerous aunts, uncles and cousins also survive.

She was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Lucy and Percy Luckey and her paternal grandparents, Charles and Esther Defenbaugh.

She attended Otter Creek Grade School and graduated from Streator High School Class of 1989. She also attended Illinois State University.

She worked for several years for Owens Illinois Glass Company until 2014.

She lived in Streator most of her life having also lived in Tennessee and Bloomington for a time.

Memorials may be made to Juvenile Diabetes Association, Charity of the donor’s choice or the family.
