Ruth Lehman

Ruth Lehman, 91, of Streator passed away Wednesday, March 8, 2017 at Heritage Health Therapy and Senior Care, Streator.

Funeral services will be at 2:00 P.M. Sunday, March 19, 2017 at Holy Trinity Lutheran Church, Streator. Rev. John Gutz will officiate.

Visitation will be from 1:00 P.M. until 2:00 P.M. Sunday, March 19, 2017 at Holy Trinity Lutheran Church, Streator.

Private family burial will be held at a later date in Hillcrest Memorial Park, Streator.

The Solon-Telford Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.

Born January 3, 1926 in Streator she was the daughter of Andrew and Anna (Dzuris) Havira. She married Edwin Lehman on June 31, 1951. He preceded her in death in 1993.

She is survived by nieces and nephews, Nickie Clark of Streator, David Mateer of Peoria, Lois Carmody of Peoria, Bob Havira of Michigan, Mark Havira of Alabama, John Varner, Karen Barasaino and Mary Ann Peel all of Massachusettes.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; brothers, Andrew and John Havira; and sisters, Mary Havira, Anna Yanello, Pauline Mateer and Louise Varner.

Born and raised in Streator she attended Streator Grade Schools and Streator High School. She lived in Streator her lifetime.

She worked for many years at the Paris Garter Factory.

She was a long time member of the Holy Trinity Lutheran Church, Streator.
