Ruth E. Martin

Ruth E. Martin, 87, of Wenona passed away Monday, March 5, 2018 at Aperion Care in Marseilles.

Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:00 A.M. Saturday at St. Mary’s Church, Wenona.

Visitation will be from 9:00 A.M. until the time of the services on Saturday at St. Mary’s Church, Wenona.

Burial will be in St. Patrick’s Cemetery, Minonk. Pallbearers will be John Kerner, Steve McClure, Jim Martin Jr., Ray Mulera, Michael McClure and Greg Lucas.

The Solon-Telford Funeral Home, Streator is in charge of the arrangements.

Born July 21, 1930 in Wenona she was the daughter of Robert and Anne (Kerrigan) Martin.

She is survived by sisters, Marjorie Whalen of Streator and Joan (John) Mulera of Rockville, Maryland; a brother, James (Lorraine) Martin of Wenona; several nieces and nephews also survive.

She was preceded in death by her parents and a sister, Kathryn Martin.

Born and raised in Wenona she attended Wenona schools.

She worked for Archway Cookies in Wenona for 42 years.

She was a member of St. Mary’s Church in Wenona for many years.

Memorials may be directed to the charity of the donor’s choice.
