Stephen D. Holofchak, 45, of Streator passed away Friday, November 10, 2017 at O.S.F. Richard L. Owens Hospice Home in Peoria surrounded by his loving family.
Funeral services will be at 7:00 P.M. Tuesday at the Solon-Telford Funeral Home, Streator.
Visitation will be from 5-7 P.M. Tuesday at the funeral home.
Cremation rites will be accorded following the services.
He was born February 14, 1972 in Fort Riley, Kansas.
He is survived by his mother and father, Patricia (Ranger) and Eugene Frankenfield of Streator; his birth father, Daniel Holofchak of Indiana; a daughter, Riley Holofchak of Streator; a son, Mason Spellious of Streator; brothers, Brian (Soledad) Holofchak of Streator and Eric Holofchak of Streator; a sister, Amy Holofchak of Streator; nieces, Kabrianna and Alexiya Holofchak of Streator; a nephew, Justin (Carley) Holofchak of Streator; great niece and nephew, Piper and Dawson Holofchak of Streator; and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Richard and Tina Ranger; his paternal grandparents, Steve and Naomi Holofchak and a niece, Angela Holofchak.
He was raised in Streator attending Streator schools and Streator High School.
Steve had a few special people who helped him throughout his battle for comfort. His life-long friend, Glen Barry, his “adopted sister”, Lynn Elliott and his “Uncle Larry” Stanton
Steve’s life was not an easy one but his love of music and fishing always carried him through. He never met a stranger, making friends with anyone who crossed his path. He was an avid Colts fan. His presence in our lives will truly be missed.
