Bryan Risley Obituary

Bryan L. Risley, 59, of Litchfield Park, Arizona and formerly of Streator passed away Sunday, October 13, 2019 in Arizona.

Funeral services will be at 10:00 A.M. Saturday at the Central Church of Christ, Streator. Rev. Joe Sanders will officiate.

Visitation will be from 4-7 P.M. Friday at the Solon-Telford Funeral Home, Streator. Additional visitation will be held Saturday from 9-10 A.M. at the Central Church of Christ.

Burial will be in St. Stephen’s Cemetery, Streator. Pallbearers will be Rob Gass, Russ Gass, Gary Sharisky, Steve Lawless, Billy Johnson, John Aicher, Brent Stull and Bruce Alpha. Honorary pallbearers will be his son, Jesse Risley and son in law, Bryan Noonan.

Born December 16, 1959 in Streator he was the son of Daniel and Linda (Lilja) Risley. He married Flordeliza “Flor” Italio on June 29, 2014.

He is survived by his wife, Flor Risley of Litchfield Park, Arizona; daughters, Shay (Bryan) Noonan of Scottsdale, Arizona, Sadie Risley of Phoenix, Arizona and Shiella Risley of Litchfield Park, Arizona; a son, Jesse Risley of Colchester; grandchildren, Piper and Harlow Noonan of Scottsdale, Arizona; his mother, Linda (Doug) Bogeart of Streator; his father, Daniel Risley of Streator; a sister, Brenda (Steve) Lawless of Streator; step-brothers, Russell (Amy) Gass of Streator and Rob (Nicole) Gass of Streator; his beloved Yorkie, Chloe; several nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts and uncles also survive.

He was preceded in death by his step-mother, Ann Risley and a granddaughter, Charley Rose Risley.

Born and raised in Streator he attended Woodland Grade School and Graduated from Woodland High School in the class of 1978. He later earned his Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Chicago.

Bryan worked in the nuclear industry for years at Transco, Exelon, AZZ WSI and Day and Zimmermann EMC. He had just recently started working with his daughter in real estate at The Noonan Group of My Home Group. Through the years he worked at The Time Press, EB Cullen and owned/operated Risleys Pub

A faithful Christian, Bryan was an active member with the Desert Breeze Christian Church in Arizona.

He was currently serving as Vice-President of the Omega Care Foundation Orphanage in Arizona which was very near to his heart.

Bryan was an avid golfer and loved playing at the Palm Valley Golf Course near his home. He also loved motorcycles and sports of all kinds. His favorite teams were the Chicago Bears and Chicago White Sox.
