Charlene Hodge

Charlene Hodge, 75, of Streator passed away Tuesday, January 16, 2018 at her residence in Streator.

Cremation rites will be accorded. There will be no funeral services. The Solon-Telford Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.

Born October 2, 1942 in West Frankfort, Illinois she was the daughter of William and Bonnie (Ledbetter) Gardner. She married George A. Hodge on September 26, 1975. He preceded her in death on November 27, 2016.

She is survived by daughters, Tina McBride of Crump, Tennessee and Gina (Ryan Sauers) Hodge of Streator; a son, Randall (Lynn) Hodge of Odell, Illinois; 8 grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren; and one brother, William Gardner of West Frankfort, Illinois.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; a brother, James Gardner III and one great grandchild.

Charlene lived in Streator most of her life. She worked for Owens Illinois and Thatcher’s Glass Companies through the years. She later worked for Ryder School Bus Company as a school bus monitor.
