Darlene A. Ross, 82, of Streator passed away Monday, October 8, 2018.

Mass of Christian Burial will be at 11:30 A.M. Saturday at St. Michael the Archangel Church, Streator. Msgr. Philip Halfacre will officiate.

Visitation will be from 9-11 A.M. Saturday at the Solon-Telford Funeral Home, Streator.

Burial will be at Hillcrest Memorial Park, Streator. Pallbearers will be Leo Morris, Bobby Redd, Ralph Redd, Erika Muholland, Barbara Young, Beth Kirchner and Anna Marie Zurlinden.

Born July 11, 1936 in Streator she was the daughter of Clarence and Anna (Fialko) Redd. She married John R. Ross on April 24, 1957 at St. Stephen’s Church, Streator. He survives in Streator.

She is also survived by a son, Gary Ross of Wisconsin; sisters, Carole Hall of Streator, June Redd of Ottawa and Linda (Rick) Zurlinden of Streator; brothers, John (Jolanka) Redd of Streator, Robert Redd of Streator and William (Dilma) Redd of Florida; a sister in law, Ellen Redd of Streator; a brother in law, Richard (Betty) Ross of Iowa; very special friends, Babs and Annie Freita of California; several nieces and nephews also survive.

She was preceded in death by her parents; a sister, Loretta Morris; brothers, Francis and Leon Redd; a sister in law, Sherri Redd; and brothers in law, Gerald “Butch” Hall and Daniel Morris.

Born and raised in Streator she attended Wilson and St. Stephen’s Grade schools.

She lived in Alameda, California from 1974 until 2000 when she moved back to Streator.

She worked for Owens Illinois Glass Company for many years and later operated a Daycare out of her home.

Darlene was an avid NASCAR fan and loved her family and all the family gatherings. She will be dearly missed by her loving family and friends.

Memorials may be directed to the charity of the donor’s choice.
