Dennis G. Perhach, 77, of Streator passed away Thursday, January 25, 2018 at his residence in Streator.
There will be no funeral services. Cremation rites will be accorded.
The Solon-Telford Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
Born March 13, 1940 in Streator he was the son of John and Irene (Tutko) Perhach. He married Sharon Cool on November 23, 1961 at St. Stephen’s Church, Streator.
He is survived by his wife, Sharon of Streator; a daughter, Deborah Perhach of Streator; sons, Michael (Virginia) Perhach of Dwight and Eric (Heather) Perhach of Streator; grandsons, Blake, Hunter and Mason Perhach all of Streator; a brother, John “Jack” (Mary Ann) Perhach of Rogers, Arkansas; nieces, nephews and cousins also survive.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Born and raised in Streator he attended St. Stephen’s Grade School and graduated from Streator High School.
He managed the Clark Gas stations in Streator and Ottawa for many years. Dennis also worked as an on air personality for WIZZ radio hosting both the Saturday night request show as well as the Sunday morning show.
He was a member of the former St. Stephen’s Church and the Msgr. George A. Dzuryo Knights of Columbus Council # 790.
He was quiet family man who had great love for history, books and the Chicago Cubs. He loved music of all of kinds. He will be greatly missed by his loving family.
