Dorlene L. Sears

Dorlene L. Sears, 92, of Streator passed away Sunday, March 3, 2019 at Flanagan Rehabilitation in Flanagan, Illinois.

Funeral services will be at 3:00 P.M. Saturday at the Solon-Telford Funeral Home, Streator.

Visitation will be from 1:30 P.M. until 3:00 P.M. Saturday at the Solon-Telford Funeral Home, Streator.

Burial will be held at a later date.

Born December 8, 1926 in Hastings, Nebraska she was the daughter of William and Edna (McNair) Rayback. She married Emmett V. Sears on November 13, 1949 in Pendleton, Oregon. He preceded her in death on July 30, 1990.

She is survived by a daughter, Kathy (Paul) Mahnke of El Paso; sons, Tim (Sherry) Sears of Kernan and Roger Sears of Chesapeake, Virginia; grandchildren, Heather Messick, Joshua (Jessica) Sears, Amber (Scott) Monkus, Ryan Sears, Shelley (Scott) Munks, Ranae (Larry) Ernat and Christina Powell; many great grandchildren also survive.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; and sons, Normal Sears and Stephen Allan Sears in infancy.

Dorlene lived in many different parts of the country through the years coming to Streator in 1964.

She had previously worked for Braden Construction in Pendleton, Oregon. She was of the Methodist faith.

She loved to travel, read and work crossword puzzles.
