Evelyn M. Mehalic

Evelyn M. Mehalic, 87, of Streator passed away Sunday, October 22, 2017 at Good Samaritan Home in Flanagan, Illinois.

Funeral services will be at 11:30 A.M. Thursday at the Solon-Telford Funeral Home, Streator. Msgr. Philip Halfacre will officiate.

Visitation will be from 9:30 A.M.-11:30 A.M. Thursday at the Solon-Telford Funeral Home, Streator.

Burial will be in St. Stephen’s Cemetery, Streator. Pallbearers will be Rob, Todd, Ronald and Joe Mehalic; Mike Centko and Mark Chismarick.

Born January 15, 1930 in Streator she was the daughter of Joseph and Anne (Nemec) Mehalic.

She is survived by brothers, Joseph “Bob”Mehalic of Streator; and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; sisters, Anne Centko, Bernadine Mehalic, Frances Ramza,

Sr. Marietta Mehalic, Eleanor Chismarick and Mary Mehalic; brothers, Ronald and John Mehalic.

Born and raised in Streator she attended St. Stephen’s Grade School.

She worked as a custodian for St. Stephen’s Grade School for many years. She was also a member of the church choir for over 50 years. She was a member of the former St. Stephen’s Church and currently belonged to St. Michael the Archangel Church.

Memorials may be directed to the charity of the donor’s choice.
