Genevieve R. Lynch

Genevieve R. Lynch, 74, of Toluca and formerly of Streator passed away Friday, October 4, 2019 at Illinois Valley Community Hospital in Peru.

Funeral services will be at 11:00 A.M. Tuesday at the Solon-Telford Funeral Home, Streator. Msgr. Philip Halfacre will officiate.

Visitation will be from 9-11 A.M. Tuesday at the Solon-Telford Funeral Home, Streator.

Burial will be in St. Anthony Cemetery, Streator. Pallbearers will be friends and family members.

Born May 9, 1945 in Chicago she was the daughter of Arthur and Rita (Canty) Lynch.

She is survived by sisters, Pat Goodrich of Paxton, Shirley Bangert of Arizona, Margaret (Tim) Digman of Michigan, Rita Rosario of Streator and Dorothy Milam of Virginia; brothers, Arthur Lynch of Streator and Tom (Theresa) Lynch of Indiana; an aunt, Lillian Lynch of Elgin; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins also survive.

She was preceded in death by her parents; a sister, Geraldine Lynch and a brother, John Lynch.

Born and raised in Chicago her family moved to Streator in 1961.

She attended Chicago grade schools, Providence Catholic High School and graduated from Streator High School in 1964.

She worked in Housekeeping for Edgewater Beach Hospital, St. Mary’s Hospital and North Central Behavioral Health Center through the years.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be directed to the family of Genevieve Lynch.
