Lee E. Williams

Lee E. Williams, 56, of Streator passed away Friday, June 29, 2018 at O.S.F. St. Francis Medical Center in Peoria.

A celebration of life service will be at 5:00 P.M. Friday at the Solon-Telford Funeral Home, Streator. Larry “The Rev” Dean will officiate.

Visitation will be from 2-5 P.M. Friday at the funeral home. Cremation rites have been accorded.

Born April 20, 1962 in Streator he was the son of George Edward and Eleanore (Huber) Williams. He married Donna Benson on August 8, 1987 in Streator. She survives in Streator.

He is also survived by a son, Ricki (Emily McBride) Williams of Streator; his parents, Ed and Eleanore Williams of Streator; sisters, Lynn Wilhelm of Blackstone and Lisa (Jim) Bezely of Spring Valley; a brother, Larry Williams of Streator; several nieces and nephews including a very special niece, Cheri Brewer of Ottawa; and his beloved dogs, Sprocket and Axel.

He was preceded in death by his son, Jeremy Williams in 2012.

Born and raised in Streator he attended Woodland School through the years.

He worked for Dauber’s in Tonica for 10 years. He had previously worked for ALM for over 20 years.

He was a former member of Sandy Ford Sportsmen’s Club. He loved fishing and especially spending the weekends with his son’s in Motocross.

Honorary pallbearers will be Lester Fife and Harold Martin.

Memorials may be directed to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital.
