Marie M. Tremain

Marie M. Tremain, 84, of Streator passed away Sunday, December 23, 2018 at O.S.F. St. Elizabeth Medical Center in Ottawa.

Visitation will be from 9-11 A.M. Friday at the Solon-Telford Funeral Home in Streator. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM Friday at Solon-Telford Funeral Home with Rev. Fr. Ryan Mattingly, officiating.

Burial will be in Riverview Cemetery in Streator. Cremation rites have been accorded.

Born May 3, 1934 in Streator, Marie was the daughter of John Dutko and Stella (Sramek) Senko and step-daughter of Stephen Senko. She married Lowell D. Tremain on June 28, 1958 in Ottawa. He survives in Streator.

Marie was an active donor and volunteer for the Streator American Red Cross for over 50 years. Philanthropy was of great importance to Marie and through it she touched many lives.

She is also survived by daughters, Pamela (James - dec) Seubold of Plainfield and Linda Broad of Streator; a son, Dewayne Tremain of Lena; stepchildren, Cathy (Gary) Skaggs of Streator and Michael Tremain of Mexico Missouri; a brother, John (Phyllis - dec) Dutko of Havasu, Arizona and brother-in-law, William Armstrong of Cincinnati, Ohio; five grandchildren, Wayne Jr., Stephanie, Amber, Heather (Kelly), and Kristin (Patrick); and six great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; a brother, Daniel Dutko and a sister, Patricia Armstrong; a sister-in-law, Phyllis Dutko; a son-in-law, James Seubold; and three great grandchildren.
