Marlene A. Scott, 81, of Streator passed away Saturday, January 5, 2019 at her residence in Streator.
Funeral services will be at 11:00 A.M. Monday, January 14, 2019 at Park Presbyterian Church, Streator. Rev. Caleb Suydam will officiate.
Visitation will be from 2-5 P.M. Sunday, January 13, 2019 at the Solon-Telford Funeral Home, Streator. Additional visitation will be from 10:30 A.M. until 11:00 A.M. Monday, January 14, 2019 at the church.
Burial will be in Riverview Cemetery, Streator. Pallbearers will be Mike, Cody, Mike Jr., and Bill Brown; Tim Myers and Dave Kupec.
Born December 23, 1937 in Berwyn, she was the daughter of Floyd and Helen (Snavley) Teach. She married Dr. James Scott on December 12, 1973. He preceded her in death in November 26, 1994.
She is survived by a son, James (Joy) Scott of Porcia, Italy stationed at the Aviano Air Base with the United States Air Force; a grandson, Alex Scott of Ottawa; step-grandchildren, Vivienne Luangrath and Kodee Taong; and a special friend, Elmer Osterdock of Streator.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; and a brother and sister in law, Robert and Grace Teach.
She graduated from Streator High School and attended Northern Illinois University.
Through the years she assisted her husband at his medical offices.
She was a member of the Park Presbyterian Church and the church choir. She was also a member of the Streator Elk’s Club and the Streator Country Club. She enjoyed playing tennis.
Memorials may be directed to the charity of the donor’s choice.
