Meri Jill Fitzmaurice

Meri Jill Fitzmaurice, 66, of Flanagan and formerly of Streator passed away Wednesday, May 1, 2019 at O.S.F. St. Francis Medical Center in Peoria.

Memorial services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Thursday at the Solon-Telford Funeral Home, Streator. Msgr. Philip Halfacre will officiate.

Visitation will be from 9-11 A.M. Thursday at the Solon-Telford Funeral Home, Streator.

Burial will be in St. Stephen’s Cemetery, Streator.

Cremation rites will be accorded.

Born June 19, 1952 in Streator she was the daughter of Francis and Roma (Fialko) Bergantz.

She is survived by daughters, Brigitte (Ray Gaydos) Fitzmaurice of Streator and Brittany David of Pontiac; sons, Bart (Teri) Fitzmaurice of Ancona and Bo Fitzmaurice of Flanagan; her significant other, Kevin Raifsnider of Streator: grandchildren, Ashleigh Fitzmaurice, Brandon Fitzmaurice and Arya David; great grandchildren, Elliana and Priscilla Arevalo; and a sister, Nancy (Roy) Fabian of Georgia.

She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Dale Bergantz.

Born and raised in Streator she attended St. Stephen’s Grade School and graduated from Streator High School.

She worked as a C.N.A. for Fox Center in Dwight for many years.

She was a member of the St. Stephen’s Church.

Memorials may be directed to the charity of the donor’s choice.
