Michael S. Hart

Michael S. “Mike” Hart, 58, of Tonica and formerly of Streator passed away Friday, April 26, 2019 at his residence in Tonica.

Memorial Services will be held Wednesday at 5:30 P.M. at the Solon-Telford Funeral Home, Streator.

Visitation will be from 3:00 until 5:30 P.M Wednesday at the Solon-Telford Funeral Home, Streator.

Cremation rites have been accorded.

Born October 12, 1960 in Streator he was the son of Charles and Eltie “Janet” (Overmier) Hart. He married Theresa M. Rodrick on October 31, 1987 in Streator.

He is survived by his wife Theresa Hart of Tonica; a daughter, Jennifer Rodrick and a granddaughter, Sofia Rodrick; sisters, Susan (Christopher) Pavlick of Streator, Kathy (Will) Hedgspeth of Port Barrington and Ruth Hart of Streator; mother and father in law, Edward and Brigitte Rodrick; brothers in law, John (Janice) Rodrick of Tonica, Ned Rodrick of South Dakota, Gary (Nicole) Rodrick of Streator and Tim (Lisa) Rodrick of Iowa City; many nieces and nephews; he is also survived by his dogs, Mojo and Bubba who he loved very much.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and a son, Justin McMillin.

Born and raised in Streator he attended Streator Grade Schools and Streator High School. He also attended Illinois Valley Community College where he studied Computer Science.

He worked for many years for Hixson Lumber Sales in Streator and currently served as the Plant Manager.

He was of the Methodist faith.

Mike was a fun loving family man who enjoyed fishing with his friends and taking fishing trips to the Upper Peninsula. He also loved to golf and hunt. He enjoyed riding his Harley and driving his Challenger. He will be sadly missed by his friends and family.

Memorial may be directed to the charity of the donor’s choice.
