Robert D. Angelico Jr.

Robert D. Angelico Jr., 60, of Streator passed away Friday, September 7, 2018 at his residence in Streator.

Funeral services will be at 11:00 A.M. Thursday at the Solon-Telford Funeral Home, Streator. Rev. Rodney Kreier will officiate.

Visitation will be Wednesday from 4-7 P.M. at the Solon-Telford Funeral Home, Streator.

Burial will be in Riverview Cemetery, Streator. Pallbearers will be his sons, Brad, Brett and Blake Angelico; brothers, Scott and Craig Angelico; a grandson, Maverick Cosek-Murphy; and his nephew, Skylar Angelico.

Born April 15, 1958 in Streator he was the son of Robert Sr. and Nancy (Drumm) Angelico. He married Susan J. Bresney on June 9, 1977. She preceded him in death on May 1, 2016.

He is survived by daughters, Megan Angelico of Streator and Kasey Angelico of Streator; sons, Brad Angelico of Streator, Brett Angelico of St. Louis and Blake Angelico of Streator; grandchildren, Maverick Cosek-Murphy, Janiah Jackson and Percy Jackson Jr; and one grandson on the way; a sister, Cathy (Bob) Smith of Normal; and brothers, Craig Angelico of Streator and Scott (Tracy) Angelico of Naples, Florida; many nieces and nephews also survive.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife; and brothers, Bill and Mark Angelico.

Born and raised in Streator he attended Streator grade schools and graduated from Streator High School in the Class of 1976.

As a journeyman Glazier he worked for Streator Glass and Jewel Glass and Mirror through the years. He later worked for Thatcher’s Glass Company. For over the last 20 years he has worked at Streator High School in the Maintenance Department.

He was a member of the Streator Eagles Club, Cranker’s Bass Club and Lazy Acres.

Bob was a loving father and grandfather and his family meant everything to him. He was proud to be an Italian and a Streator Bulldog. He loved fishing, coaching, Lynyrd Skynyrd and the Chicago Cubs. He will be sadly missed by his loving family and friends.

Memorials may be directed to the charity of the donor’s choice.
