Stephanie Kosur

Stephanie Kosur, 90, of Streator passed away Sunday, November 4, 2018 at her residence surrounded by her loving family.

Private funeral services will be held. Burial will be in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Streator. Her grandchildren will serve as pallbearers.

The Solon-Telford Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.

Born June 20, 1928 in Kangley she was the daughter of Andrew and Anna (Soltis) Zelenak. She married Edward S. Kosur on September 10, 1949 at Annunciation of the Blessed Virgin Mary Church at Eagle. He preceded her in death on February 18, 1994.

She is survived by daughters, Teresa (Mark) Soberri of Leonore, Mary (George) Walker of Chatanooga, Tennessee, Nancy (Philip) Carr of Hudson and Jeanne Aden of Hudson; sons, Donald Kosur of Fletcher, North Carolina and Gerald (Ruta) Kosur of Lemont; and a daughter in law, Mary Kay Kosur of El Paso; 13 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; a son, Mark Kosur; sisters, Evelyn Zelenak, Margaret Latino and Naomi Mandrell; and brothers, Elmer and Joseph Zelenak.

She worked for Paris Garter Factory and was a seamstress for many years. She also worked for Owens Illinois Glass Company before she was married.

Stephanie loved the outdoors and especially spending time in her garden. She also loved to quilt and made a blanket for all of her family members. She will be dearly missed by her family.
