Alexis R. "Lexi" Brunson

Alexis R. “Lexi” Brunson 22 of Streator passed away Thursday (June 8, 2017) as the result of a single vehicle accident in Reading Township.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Thursday at Solon-Telford Funeral Home, Streator with Monty Harris, officiating. Visitation will be held from 4:00-7:00 PM Wednesday at Solon-Telford Funeral Home. Burial will be at a later date in Riverview Cemetery, Streator.

Alexis was born May 26, 1995 in Streator the daughter of Rachel Dews-Brunson of Streator Illinois and Marvin W. Brunson of Aurora Illinois.

She was employed for the last three years as a nurse’s aide at Aperion Care Nursing Home, Toluca. She was baptized as one of the Jehovah’s Witnesses in 2011. She attended Streator grade schools and graduated with honors from Streator High School, class of 2013.

Lexi will always be remembered for her infectious smile that lit up the room when she entered.

She is survived by her mother, Rachel Dews-Brunson, Streator, father Marvin W. Brunson, Aurora, Maternal Grandmother, Carol Dews, Streator, Paternal Grandmother, Martha Brunson, Aurora, aunts, Cindy (Bob) McCall, Gilbert AZ and Tonya (Dave) Robinson, Austin TX, and an uncle, Harold “Buster” (Marcia) Dews Jr., Streator.

She was preceded in death by her Maternal Grandfather, Harold Dews Sr., Paternal Grandfather, Jack Brunson.
