Ann Marie Panno, 99, of Streator passed away Monday, March 30, 2026 at Pleasant View Luther Home in Ottawa.
Mass of Christian Burial will be at 11:00 A.M. Saturday, June 20, 2026 at St. Michael the Archangel Church, Streator. Msgr. Brian Brownsey will officiate.
Visitation will be from 10:00 A.M. until 11:00 A.M. Saturday, June 20, 2026 at St. Michael the Archangel Church, Streator.
Burial will be in St. Stephen’s Cemetery, Streator. Cremation rites have been accorded.
The Solon-Telford Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
Born November 20, 1926 in Streator she was the daughter of George and Anna (Javorsky) Leskanich. She married Joseph C. Panno on May 5, 1948 at St. Stephen’s Church in Streator. He preceded her in death on November 20, 2022.
She is survived by her children, Mark J. Panno (Tammie Diemer/Panno) and Marla Panno/Doyle (Patrick T. Doyle); four grandchildren; Blake Panno (Ashley Panno), Hannah Panno/Strabala (Jake Strabala), Ryan Doyle (Stephanie Doyle) and Brendan Doyle; great grandchildren, Jack, Piper and Sutton Panno; Lillian, Madelyn and Jack Doyle; and Sloan and Otto Strabala; and a sister, Loretta (Don) Donelson of Phoenix, Arizona.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; and a brother, George J. Leskanich, Jr.
Born and raised in Streator she attended St. Stephen’s Grade School and graduated from Streator High School in the class of 1944.
Primarily a homemaker through the years she also worked at Streator High School as a study hall supervisor for 10 years in her retirement.
She was a member of the St. Mary’s Hospital Auxiliary for 42 years, Streator Matrons, Streator Public Library Board and Anderson Golf Course.
