Anna T. Harcar

Anna T. Harcar, 88, of Streator passed away Sunday, July 11, 2021 at Heritage Health Therapy and Senior Care in Streator.

Mass of Christian Burial will be at 12:00 P.M. Friday at St. Michael the Archangel Church, Streator. Fr. Austin Bosse will officiate.

Visitation will be from 4-7 P.M. Thursday at the Solon-Telford Funeral Home, Streator. The rosary will be recited at 6:45 P.M.

Burial will be in St. Stephen’s Cemetery, Streator. Pallbearers will be grandsons, Jeffrey Harcar Jr., Michael Copeland, Wilson Copeland, Thomas Harcar and Joe Urbanec; great grandson, Michael Wendorf; and a son in law, William W. Copeland.

Born April 9, 1933 in Streator she was the daughter of John and Anna (Zelenak) Fialko. She married William T. Harcar Sr. on July 16, 1953. He preceded her in death in 1995.

She is survived by a daughter, Julie (William W.) Copeland of Streator; sons, William T. Harcar Jr., of Streator and Jeffrey (Debbie) Harcar of Streator; grandchildren, Michael, Jacqueline and Wilson Copeland all of Streator; Sarah (Joe) Urbanec of Streator, Jessica (Brian) Sherman of Blackstone, Jeffrey (Carla Balkazar) Harcar of Streator, Thomas Harcar of Ottawa and Rose (Ben) Borrowman of Forsyth; great grandchildren, Addison, Makenna and Elliana Urbanec; Gabriella Harcar, Kaylee and Kynzlee Jerde; Wesley and Remmy Copeland, Michael Wendorf and Landon Sherman.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; a son, Gary Harcar; an infant daughter, Mary; brothers, John, Joseph, Bernard Fialko; sisters, Marcella “Jean” Green, Mary Samek, Dorothy Lenniger, Betty Sramek and Louise Johnson.

Born and raised in Streator she attended St. Stephen’s Grade School and Streator High School.

She worked for Owens Illinois Glass Company for over 30 years retiring in 1994.

She was a member of the former St. Stephen’s Church and currently belonged to St. Michael the Archangel Church.

She was a member of the VFW and K of C Auxiliaries through the years.

Memorials may be directed to the charity of the donor’s choice.
