Anthony G. “Mugs” Von Ruden, 64, of Streator passed away Sunday, February 8, 2026 at his residence in Streator.

  Private graveside services will be held.  Solon-Telford Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.

  Born November 19, 1961 in Streator he was the son of Joyce Wargo.

  He married Eva Riddle on April 28, 2018.  She preceded him in death on November 27, 2020.

  He is survived by sisters, Cheryl (Jeffrey) Komsteller of Streator and Virginia (Dan) Reinmann of Streator; brothers, Robert (Christine) Von Ruden and Kerry (Tricia) Von Ruden; numerous nieces and nephews also survive.

  He was preceded in death by his mother; brother, Ronald Von Ruden; and his beloved dog, Max.

  Born and raised in Streator he attended Streator grade schools and Streator High School.

  He worked through the years for Borg Warner and Caterpillar in Pontiac.

  He was of the Catholic faith and belonged to the former Immaculate Conception Church and St. Michael the Archangel Church.

  He was an avid Chicago sports fan and particularly loved the Cubs, Bulls and Bears.
