He is survived by his parents of Streator; a sister, Mallory Aukland of Streator; a daughter, Skylar Aukland of Streator; a special friend, Aymee Wilinski and her son, Jaiden Wilinski both of Streator; maternal grandmother, Mary Stimac of Streator; paternal grandparents, Dorothy and Mike Phillips of Streator; his godparents, Julie and Jon Horaney of Streator; several aunts, uncles and cousins also survive.
He was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Keith Stimac; and his paternal grandfather, Gerald Lee Aukland.
Raised in Streator he attended St. Anthony Grade School and graduated from Streator High School in the class of 2014. He later attended Illinois Valley Community College to earn his CDL.
He worked for Rhodes Auto while in High School. He later worked for US Foods starting in the Warehouse and then becoming a route driver. He was currently working for Hatzer’s Ready Mix.
Bailey was a free spirit with a big heart and was passionate about everything he did. He loved riding his 4 wheelers, dirt bikes and going snowmobiling. His need for speed led him to racing a few years ago. He raced his street stock and dirt track cars at various local dirt tracks. His motto was “live to ride”. He also loved music and taught himself how to play guitar and the drums while he was in high school.
The tragedy of Bailey’s death had one silver lining in that he was able to be an organ donor with the Gift of Hope. His heart, liver, kidneys, pancreas and tissue were able to be used to save the lives of others in need. He was strong enough to hang on so that others could be benefited in their lives.
