Barbara Darm Obituary

Barbara J. Darm, 70, of Streator passed away Wednesday, May 19, 2021 at Heritage Health Therapy and Senior Care in Streator.

Funeral services will be at 11:00 A.M. Saturday, May 29, 2021 at Solon-Telford Funeral Home, Streator.

Visitation will be from 9-11 A.M. Saturday, May 29, 2021 at the Solon-Telford Funeral Home, Streator.

Burial will be in Allen Township Cemetery in Ransom.

Born August 7, 1950 in Streator she was the daughter of Raymond and Betty (Wright) Darrow. She married George H. Darm on March 10, 1978. He preceded her in death on January 19, 2021.

She is survived by sisters, Patricia (John) Thierry of Streator and Mary (Mike) Delheimer of Streator; a brother, Ray (Cathy) Darrow of Streator; sisters in law, Betty Jo (Robert) Voytko of Columbia, Tennessee and Janette (Jeff) Strabala of Streator; nephews and a niece, Eric (Elizabeth) Thierry, Luke (Sabrina) Thierry, Michael (Mindy) Delheimer, Matthew (Tina) Darrow, Jacob (Alli) Delheimer, Ryan (Amber) Darrow, Maggie (Shonk) Wright, Matthew (Kristen) Shonk, Jacob (Hannah) Strabala, Jeremy (Jamie) Strabala and Jared Strabala; numerous great nieces and nephews also survive.

She was preceded in death by her parents and husband.

Born and raised in Streator she attended St. Mary’s Grade School and graduated from Streator High School in the class of 1968.

She worked as an Office Manager for Honda of Ottawa for many years.

Barb loved playing cards, going to the river boat, shopping with her sisters and getting together with family. She will be dearly missed.

Memorials may be directed to the Heritage Health or the charity of the donor’s choice.
