Barbara E. Malley, 74, of Streator passed away Thursday, July 17, 2025 at O.S.F. St. Francis Medical Center in Peoria.
Visitation will be from 10:00 A.M. until 11:00 A.M. Friday, July 25th at St. Michael the Archangel Church, Streator.
Mass of Christian Burial will be at 11:00 A.M. Friday, July 25th at St. Michael the Archangel Church, Streator.
Private burial will be in Valley Memorial Cemetery in Spring Valley. Cremation rites have been accorded.
Born March 9, 1951 in Streator she was the daughter of George and Eda “Eileen” (Tucker) Pleasant. She married Michael Malley on July 24, 1992. He preceded her in death on January 3, 2019.
She is survived by her mother, Eda “Eileen” Pleasant-Gerlach of Streator; step children, Marla (Wayne) Turner of Montross, Virginia, Melanie (Jim) Riordan of Streator, Michael (Janet) Malley of Streator and Daniel Malley of Streator; sisters, Jane (Alan) Kunkel of Kennesaw, Georgia and Debbie (Steven) Kennedy of Spring, Texas; step-grandchildren, Dustin Turner, Shelbey (Austin) Rainey, Elizabeth (Abel) Ruiz, Allie (Mitchell) Bonds, Amber Malley, Joshua Malley and Madison Malley; 5 step-great grandchildren; nieces and nephews, Matthew (Courtney) Kunkel of Powder Springs, Georgia, Lynn Kunkel of Kennesaw, Georgia, Joshua (Kimberly) Kennedy of Spring, Texas and Nathan (Maci) Kennedy of Conroe, Texas; numerous great nieces and nephews also survive.
She was preceded in death by her husband and her father.
Born and raised in Streator she attended St. Mary’s Grade School and graduated from Streator High School. She also attended Illinois Valley Community College.
Throughout her life she lovingly cared for several beloved family members offering them comfort, dignity and unwavering support while completing 35 years with RR Donnelly.
She was a member of St. Michael the Archangel Church, Streator.
