Barbara A. Morris

  Barbara A. Morris, 93, of Streator passed away Monday, April 15, 2024 at the ARC of Streator.

  Mass of Christian Burial will be at 12:00 P.M. Friday, April 19th at St. Michael the Archangel Parish Church, Streator. 

  Visitation will be from 11:00 A.M. until 12:00 P.M. Friday, April 19th at St. Michael the Archangel Parish Church.

  Burial will be in St. Anthony Cemetery, Streator.  Cremation rites have been accorded.  The Solon-Telford Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.

  Born May 15, 1930 in Streator she was the daughter of Herman and Catherine (Blum) Bernhard.  She married Lester H. Morris on January 17, 1953.  He preceded her in death on December 11, 2017.

  She is survived by nephews, Gary (Mary Jo) Poldek of Streator and Dan Poldek of Streator; grandchildren and great grandchildren; great nieces and nephews; her caregiver, Aggie and her beloved cat Sophie.

  She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; a daughter, Mary Ann Morris; a son, Kevin Morris; a sister, Joan Poldek; and a nephew, Bob Poldek.

  She was a member of the former St. Anthony Church and currently a member of Michael the Archangel Church.  She and her husband Les were very active through the years volunteering with the church.

  Memorials may be directed to St. Vincent DePaul Society.
