Benjamin M. Simpson

  Benjamin M. Simpson, 41, of Streator passed away Monday, January 16, 2023 at O. S. F. Richard L. Owens Hospice Home in Peoria.

  Memorial Services will be at 11:00 A.M. Friday, January 20th, 2023 at the Solon-Telford Funeral Home in Streator.  Pastor Caleb Suydam will officiate.

  Visitation will be from 9-11 A.M. Friday, January 20th at the Solon-Telford Funeral Home in Streator.  Casual attire is requested.

  Cremation rites will be accorded. 

  Born December 19, 1981 in Streator, he was the son of Kirk Simpson and Therese (Arkels) Simpson.    

  He is survived by his wife, Staci Krominga of Streator; his parents; a brother, Tony Simpson of Streator; his paternal grandparents, Ted and Suzette Simpson of Streator and a nephew, Tony Simpson of Streator.

  He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Rodney and Mary Arkels; stepfather, Frank Coop; aunts, Sue Arkels and Terri Horton and niece, Jasmine Simpson.

  He attended St. Anthony’s Grade School and graduated from Streator High School. He was a lifetime Streator resident.

  Ben was a custodian at Illinois Valley Community College in Ogelsby.  He enjoyed building and using his own computers and liked playing video games.  Ben was also a big fan of Heavy Metal music. 

  In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the O.S.F. Richard L. Owens Hospice Home at 8630 North Illinois Route 91,  Peoria, Il. 61615.
