Betty D. Zack, 87, of Streator passed away Tuesday, December 31, 2024 at Flanagan Rehabilitation and Health Care in Flanagan.

  Mass of Christian Burial will be at 12:30 P.M. Saturday, January 4th at St. Michael the Archangel Church, Streator.

  Visitation will be from 10:00 A.M. until 12:00 P.M. at the Solon-Telford Funeral Home, Streator.

  Burial will be in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Streator.  Family members will serve as pallbearers.

  Born February 14, 1937 in Streator she was the daughter of Raymond and Esther (Griffin) McBride.  She married Robert Zack on December 1, 1956. 

  She is survived by daughters, Brenda Clift of Streator, Beth McCarley of McKinney, Texas, Barbara Stadts of San Antonio, Texas, Bonnie Brown of Providence, Rhode Island and Beverly (Jerry) McLain of Cincinatti, Ohio; sons, Brian Zack of Dallas, Texas and Brad (Amy) Zack of Springfield; 17 grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren; and a brother, David (Mary) McBride of Joliet; nieces and nephews also survive.

  She was preceded in death by her parents; her former husband; grandchildren, Neal McCarley and Brent Stadts; brothers, Earl, Oris, Harold, Ronald, Wayne and Mike McBride; and a sister, Julie Wagner.

  Born and raised in Ancona she attended Ancona Grade School and graduated from Woodland High School in 1955 from their first graduating class.

  Through the years she worked for the Streator Drive In Theater, Illinois Bell Telephone Company, Motorola in Pontiac, Owens Illinois and Burns Security.

  She was a member of the former Immaculate Conception Church and currently belonged to St. Michael the Archangel Church.  She was also a member of the Knights of Columbus Ladies Auxiliary. 

  For over 40 years Betty enjoyed getting together with her group of friends for their weekly “Club” meetings.  She will be dearly missed by her loving family.
