Beverly A. Danko

Beverly A. Danko, 83, of Streator passed away Wednesday, November 3, 2021 at Heritage Health Therapy and Senior Care in Streator.
Visitation will be from 4:00 P.M. until 7:00 P.M. Monday, November 8, 2021 at the Solon-Telford Funeral Home, Streator. The rosary will be recited at 6:45 P.M.
Mass of Christian Burial will be at 11:00 A.M. Tuesday, November 9, 2021 at St. Michael the Archangel Church, Streator.
Burial will be in St. Stephen’s Cemetery, Streator. Pallbearers will be grandsons, Brandon Walker, Kurt Walker, Derek Danko, Ryan Starkey, Jason Heffley, Brian Heffley, Philip Heffley and a great grandson, Ethan West.
Born January 8, 1938 in Streator she was the daughter of George and Mary (Grencoe) Treschak. She married Donald D. Danko on February 16, 1957 at St. Stephen’s Church, Streator.
She is survived by her husband, Donald D. Danko, Sr. of Streator; daughters, Elizabeth (Randall) Starkey of Streator and Margaret (Thomas) Walker of Streator; a son, Donald (Donna) Danko, Jr. of Sandwich; 13 grandchildren; 32 great grandchildren; a brother, Melvin (Joan) Treschak of Streator; and a sister, Norma (Herb) Honn of Bloomington.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
She attended Grant School and graduated from Streator High School in the class of 1956.
She worked through the years for Varsity Sports, Montgomery Wards, Merle Norman, WIZZ radio station, the Times Press and retired from the First Federal Bank in Ottawa where she enjoyed many trips working for the Funtimers Club.
She was a member of the former St. Stephen’s Church and currently belonged to St. Michael the Archangel Church and the Altar and Rosary Society of her church. She was also a member of the Women of the Moose, Knights of Columbus Ladies Auxiliary, Jednota and Junior Women’s Club. She also volunteered through the years at Engle Lane Theatre.
Memorials may be directed to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital or the American Alzheimer’s Association.
