Bonnie B. Doty, 85, of Streator passed away Tuesday, December 17, 2024 at Parker Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Streator.

  Private burial will take place at a later date.  Cremation rites will be accorded following the services.

  Born April 23, 1939 in Chicago, she was the daughter of Charles and Iva (Van Amburg) Dattalo.  She married Claude S. Doty Jr. on May 14, 1955.  They were married for 68 years. 

  She is survived by daughters, Diana (Michael) Martin of Streator, Mellodye McMurray of Cordoba, Tennessee and Kimberly Doty of Genoa; grandchildren, Jessica Matthews, Clint Stevens, Chad Stevens, Shane Martin, Tara Flanery, Terry McMurray and Aaron McMurray; 17 great grandchildren and 4 great-great grandchildren.

  She was preceded in death by her husband, Claude; her parents; and a grandson, Ronnie Stevens.

  Born in Chicago, Bonnie resided in DeKalb and Genoa.  Over the years, she worked as a factory worker for several companies.  Later in life she transitioned into a housewife and homemaker

  Bonnie enjoyed reading books and working on crafts.  She will be dearly missed by her family and friends..
