Cremation rites will be accorded following the services.

Born September 13, 1972 in Streator, he was the son of Leland Sember and Pamela Hoskins.

He is survived by his fiancé, Danielle Jackson of Ottawa; his mother, Pamela Sember of Streator; maternal grandmother, Betty Hoskins of Streator; a son, Brady Sember of Streator; a daughter, Brynne Sember of Ottawa; step-daughter, Riley Grace Bristol of Milwaukee; step-sons, Rockwell Jackson of Ottawa; sister, Shawna (Carl) Flanary of Streator; brother, Travis (Angie) Sember of Streator; a half-brother, Jeff Sember of Pemberton, New Jersey.

He was preceded in death by his father, Lee Sember; maternal grandfather, John Hoskins; paternal grandparents; Thillis Sember and Joe Sember; and a half-brother, Lee Sember, Jr.

Born and raised in Streator, he attended Streator Grade Schools and graduated from Streator High School in the class of 1990.  Following high school he enlisted in the United States Marine Corp where he served for 4 years.  He spent time in Okinawa, Japan while in the service.  He was proud of his service to his country.

Upon returning from the service he worked for a few years for Budweiser as a route driver.

Following in the footsteps of his father he was later hired by the City of Ottawa as a Police Officer where he served as Patrolman for the last 23 years.  While serving the City of Ottawa, Brian established many lasting relationships with the people of the community as well as his co-workers. He was planning his retirement in September.

Sembo had a larger than life personality and could fill a room with laughter and mischief at the same time.  He loved riding his Harley and his trips to Sturgis.

Sembo was a loyal friend who could be counted on for an encouraging word or a good laugh.    He was a loving father who would do anything for his kids.  His recent engagement to Dani gave him much happiness as they were planning the next stage of their lives together.  He will be dearly missed by his family and his many friends.

Honorary pallbearers will be his nieces and nephews, Blake Sweeden, Trevor Sember, Ethan Flanary, Hannah Sember and Abbie Sember.
