Carol J. Johnson

Carol J. Johnson, 66, of Streator passed away Wednesday, March 11, 2020 at O.S.F. Richard Owens Hospice Home in Peoria.

Cremation rites were accorded. There will be no services.

The Solon-Telford Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.

Born February 11, 1954 in Streator she was the daughter of William and Caroline (Gayon) Sauer.

She is survived by daughters, Tracy (Carl) Thompson of Missouri, Amanda (Dani) Savage of Colorado and Kayla Johnson of Streator; a son, Wayne (Annie) Johnson of Mount Morris; 7 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren; sisters, Mary Curry of Kansas, Diane Hecker of Rockford, Sharon Stroud of Rockford and Bernadette (Kevin) Clarke of Wisconsin ; and a brother, Mark (Rachel) Sauer of Rockford.

She was preceded in death by her parents; a sisters, Shirley Wickam and Cynthia Miller; and a brother, Craig Sauer.

Born in Streator she was raised in the Rockford area and attended school in Rockford.

She was of the Catholic faith.

A homemaker through the years Carol loved the outdoors particularly mushroom hunting, camping and fishing. She was also an avid Bingo player.
