Catherine Walkey Obituary

Catherine A. “Kate” Walkey, 83, of Streator passed away Thursday, February 25, 2021 at Parker Rehabilitation and Nursing Center in Streator.

Private funeral services will be held. Burial will be in Riverview Cemetery, Streator. The Solon-Telford Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.

Born June 4, 1937 in Streator she was the daughter of Charles and Martha (Bedeker) Austino. She married Kenneth Walkey on February 28, 1959. He preceded her in death on December 25, 2020.

She is survived by sons, John (Karen) Walkey of Streator and Kenneth Walkey of Streator; grandchildren, Jordan Walkey, John Walkey and Josh Walkey; great grandchildren, Faith, Braxton and Lillian; a sister, Dolly (Jim) Mazak of Streator; a brother, Charles (Vineta) Austino of Missouri; several nieces and nephews also survive.

She was preceded in death by her brothers, Robert, William, Carmen, Alfred, Charles and her twin brother, Thomas.

The family would like to thank Parker Nursing and Rehabilitation for the special care they gave to Kate.
