Charles D. Coles, 77, of Streator passed away Monday, February 19, 2024 at the Arc of Streator.
Cremation rites have been accorded. A Celebration of Life Services will be held at a later date.
Born December 15, 1946 in Ames, Iowa, he was the son of Embert and Janice (Waterman) Coles. He married Janice Link on October 4, 2007.
He is survived by his wife, Janice Coles of Streator; a daughter, Allison (Brice) Bunck of Topeka, Kansas; a son, John Coles of Norristown, Pennsylvania; step daughters, Cindy Segerberg of Lemont and Jessica (Jose) Rossel of Coal City; 4 grandchildren; 12 step-grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Kay Coles.
He was raised in Manhattan, Kansas and later moved to Minneapolis, Minnesota where he worked for Lutheran Brotherhood until his retirement.
Charles was of Lutheran faith.
He enjoyed collecting coins and researching his family lineage. He was also an avid fisherman and was the President of the National Bass Association for the Deaf. He also enjoyed traveling all over the states to compete in fishing tournaments.
