Craig A. Thomas

  Craig A. Thomas, Sr., 68, of Streator passed away Tuesday, June 28, 2022 at Carle BroMenn Medical Center in Normal.

  Cremation rites will be accorded.  There will be no funeral services.  The Solon-Telford Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.

  Born June 13, 1954 in Streator he was the son of Harry and Virginia (Salz) Thomas.

  He is survived by a daughter, Cori (Ron) Geary of Streator; sons, Craig Thomas, Jr. of Streator and Chris Thomas of Streator; 7 grandchildren; 7 great grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren on the way; a brother, David (Jane) Thomas of Conyers, Georgia; nephews, Mike (Dahianna) Thomas of Charlotte, North Carolina and John (Jessie) Thomas of Covington, Georgia; great nieces and nephews also survive.

  He was preceded in death by his parents.

  Born and raised in Streator he attended Streator grade schools and graduated from Streator High School in 1973.

  He worked for through the years for Interlake Steel and the Streator Dependable.  He also owned and operated a Lawn Care business through the years.

  He was a member of the Streator Moose Lodge and Lazy Acres Sportsman’s Club.

  Craig loved fishing and riding his Harley motorcycle.  He was a loving grandfather and adored his grandchildren.
