Daniel R. Wright

  Daniel R. “Danny” Wright, 59, of Streator passed away Wednesday, July 26, 2023 at Arcadia Care in Streator, Illinois. 

  Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 12:00 P.M. Monday, July 31st at St. Michael the Archangel Church, Streator.

  Visitation will be from 9:00 A.M. until 11:30 A.M. Monday, July 31st at the Solon-Telford Funeral Home, Streator. 

  Burial will be in St. Stephen’s Cemetery, Streator.  Pallbearers will be Matt, Mark and Marvin Burash; Brad Martin, Bud Crouch, David Spillett, Mike Barton and Tom Walker.

  Born February 11, 1964 in Streator he was the son of James and Lois (Kline) Wright.  He married Michelle Burash on September 29, 1989 at St. Stephen’s Church.

  He is survived by his wife, Michelle Wright of Streator; a son, Chad Wright of Streator; a daughter, Tressa (Kegan) Brown of Streator; grandchildren, Cade Wright and Waylon Brown; sisters, Lana McKenzie of Peoria, Rita (Frank) Conway of Streator, Peggy (Bud) Crouch of Streator and Jenny (David) Spillett of Streator; sister in law, Judy Wright of Streator; father in law, Robert Burash of Streator; brothers in law, Matthew (Lisa) Burash of Streator, Mark (Donna) Burash of Streator and Marvin (Kara) Burash of Peoria;  numerous nephews and nieces also survive.

  He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, James and Kevin Wright; his mother in law, Joyce Burash; a niece, Paje Wright and a nephew, Raleigh Crouch.

  Born and raised in Streator he attended St. Mary’s Grade School and graduated from Streator High School in the class of 1982. 

  He worked through the years for Deats Service as a mechanic, Don’s Furniture and later for US Truck Body for 25 years.

  He was a member of the former Immaculate Conception Church and currently belonged to St. Michael the Archangel Church.  He was also a former member of Cranker’s Bass Club.

  Danny was a die-hard Miami Dolphins fan and loved to fish, hunt and play euchre through the years.  He will be dearly missed by his loving family.

  Memorials may be directed to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital.
