Danielle Thompson Obituary

  Danielle R. Thompson, 74, of Streator passed away Tuesday, July 7, 2026 at Morris Hospital in Morris.

  Mass of Christian Burial will be at 11:00 A.M. Monday, July 13th at St. Mary’s Church in Wenona.

  The family will greet friends at a funeral luncheon at the Knights of Columbus in Streator following the Mass.

  Born November 3, 1951 in Streator she was the daughter of Daniel and Doris (Robertson) Uratchko.  She married James R. Thompson on January 16, 1971 at St. Stephen’s Church in Streator.

  She is survived by her husband, James Thompson of Streator; a son, Brandon (Dustie) Thompson of Streator; grandchildren, Nick Yanello, Lane (Brooklyn) Thompson and Wyatt Thompson; a great grandson, Theo Thompson; a brother, David (Carrie) Uratchko of Streator; nieces and nephews also survive.

  She was preceded in death by her parents; a daughter, Shannon Thompson; her in laws, Warren and Wynona Thompson; a brother-in-law, John Thompson and a sister-in-law, Anna Jones.

  Born and raised in Streator she attended Wilson Grade School and graduated from Woodland High School.

  She worked through the years for JC Penney and US Foods.

  She was a member of St. Mary’s Church in Wenona.

  Danielle enjoyed reading, doing word searches and playing Euchre with her husband on a weekly basis.  She also enjoyed spending time at the river and especially swinging on her favorite swing near the river.  She was an avid Green Bay Packer fan and loved going to the games with her family.  She will be dearly missed by her loving family.
