David A. “Chicken” Namchick, 72, of Streator passed away Thursday, June 13, 2024 at his residence in Streator.

  Graveside services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Friday, June 28th at Riverview Cemetery, Streator.  Cremation rites have been accorded.  The Solon-Telford Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.

  Born March 28, 1952 in Streator he was the son of Clarence and Betty (Horaney) Namchick.

  He is survived by his nieces and nephews, Amy Price, Tracy Haynes and Angela Harms all of Streator; Amanda Feldt of Yorkville, Danny Feldt and Andy Feldt both of Seneca; a sister in law, Marsha Anderson of Tonica; several great nieces and nephews also survive.

  He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Boyd Namchick; a sister and brother in law, Linda and Paul Feldt; and his beloved dog, Rocky.

  Born and raised in Streator he attended local grade schools and graduated from Streator High School.

  He worked through the years for Flink as a welder until his retirement.

  He loved the outdoors and was an avid fisherman and hunter.  He loved sports of all kind especially the Chicago Bears.  He also loved dogs. 

  Memorials may be made to the charity of the donor’s choice.
