David R. Ryon, 73, of Florida passed away Tuesday, September 26, 2023 in Florida.

  Funeral services will be at 12:00 P.M. Saturday, May 18, 2024 at Solon-Telford Funeral Home in Streator.  Rev. Caleb Suydam will officiate. . 

  Visitation will be from 10:00 A.M. until 12:00 P.M. Saturday May 18,2024 at Solon-Telford Funeral Home in Streator.  Cremation rites have been accorded

  Burial will be in Riverview Cemetery, Streator.

  Born September 6, 1950 in Valparaiso, Indiana, he was the son of Donald C. and Charlene N. (Stator) Ryon.

  He is survived by his brother, Patrick (Diane) Ryon of Hanover Park; a nephew, Eric Ryon of New Jersey and a niece, Ashley Ryon of Fox River Grove, Illinois.

  He was preceded in death by his parents.

  Dave graduated from Glenbard East High School and received a Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering from Southern Illinois University. 

  Over the years, he resided in Indiana, Franklin Park and Carol Stream.  He worked in the electronics industry for Simpson Electric, Williams Game Company and Motorola until he relocated to Florida where he continued to work as an Electrical Engineer.

  Dave had a passion for music. He played the guitar and keyboard for a rock and roll band in the Chicagoland area for years.  He played in various local bands as well.  When not playing music, he enjoyed classic cars and attending car shows and cruise nights.

   Memorials may be directed to the charity of the donor’s choice.
