David E. Studnicki

David E. Studnicki, 66, of Streator passed away Tuesday, December 10, 2019 at his residence in Streator surrounded by his loving family.

A prayer will be said for Dave at 3:00 P.M. Friday at the Solon-Telford Funeral Home, Streator, by the Rev. William Clark.

Visitation will be from 1-3 P.M. Friday at the Solon-Telford Funeral Home, Streator.

Private family burial will be at Riverview Cemetery, Streator. Pallbearers will be Adrian Vazquez, Efrain Vazquez, Nathan Studnicki, John Ostrom, Joe Urbanec and Michael Urbanec. Honorary pallbearers will be his grandchildren, Aiden and Trenton Studnicki; Sam Dukes and Sarita Studnicki.

Born May 26, 1953, in Streator, he was the son of Edmund and Dolores (Besserman) Studnicki. He married Joan Spradling on October 19, 1973 at St. Stephen’s Church, Streator.

He is survived by his wife, Joan Studnicki of Streator; children, Sarah (Matt) Dukes of Marquette Heights, Susan Studnicki of Glen Ellyn and Adam (Sarah) Studnicki of Streator; grandchildren, Aiden and Trenton Studnicki, Sam Dukes and Sarita Studnicki; his parents, Edmund and Dolores Studnicki of Streator; a sister, Julie (Michael) Munie of North Augusta, South Carolina; brothers, Gary (Peggy) Studnicki of Streator and Bruce Studnicki of Bloomington; and a brother-in-law, Don Spradling of Streator.

Born and raised in Streator, he attended St. Stephen’s Grade School and graduated from Woodland High School in the class of 1971.

He worked for Commonwealth Edison for many years retiring in 2003.

Dave enjoyed gardening, rock collecting and reading. He will be sadly missed by his loving family and friends.

Memorials may be directed to the charity of the donor’s choice.
