David J. Wilkinson

  David J. Wilkinson, 66, of Streator passed away Sunday, September 4, 2022 at O.S.F. St. Joseph Medical Center in Bloomington, Illinois.

  Funeral services will be at 11:00 A.M. Saturday at the Solon-Telford Funeral Home, Streator. 

  Visitation will be from 9:00 A.M. until 11:00 A.M. at the Solon-Telford Funeral Home, Streator. 

  Burial will be in St. Stephen’s Cemetery, Streator.  Cremation rites have been accorded.

  Born September 27, 1955 in Streator he was the son of Edward and Leona (Mehall) Wilkinson.

  He is survived by sisters, Janice Patterson of Shorewood, Mary Ann Miller of Lostant, Leona (Ken) Majernik of Streator, Brenda (Willie) Horaney of Bettendorf, Iowa and Linda (Greg) Dzurisin of Heyworth; brothers, Tom (Georgia) Wilkinson of Henry and Larry (Mary Jane) Wilkinson of Streator; sister in laws, Monica Wilkinson of Streator and Karen Wilkinson of Streator; many nieces and nephews also survive.

  He was preceded in death by his parents; a sister, Sharon Wilkinson and brothers, Jim Wilkinson and Dale Wilkinson.

  Born and raised in Streator he attended St. Stephen’s Grade School and graduated from Streator High School.

    Dave worked as union pipefitter with Chicago Pipefitters Local 597.  He spent his entire career working for Midwest Mechanical Contractors, Inc. in Henry, Illinois until his retirement.

  He was a member of the former St. Stephen’s Church and currently belonged to St. Michael the Archangel Parish.

  He was a member of the Msgr. George A. Dzuryo Knights of Columbus Council # 790. 

  Memorials may be directed to the Salvation Army or the Streatorland Food Pantry.
