Born January 24, 1933 in Troy Grove, Eileen was the beloved daughter of Glenn and Frances (Hall) Morrison. She married the love of her life, James “Jim” Andree on April 26, 1952 at the First United Methodist Church in Streator. Together, they built a beautiful life, rooted in faith, hard work and a deep love for their family and farming.
Eileen was the mother of Linda (Pat) McGurk of Streator; son Jim (Shelly) Andree of Blackstone and Dave (Sue) Andree (deceased). She was a devoted grandmother to Sheila (Cory) Rogers, Sara (Jerry Dronenberg) Perrotta, Robert Andree, Trisha (Devon Richardson) Studnicki, Julie (Nathan) Matsko, Chris (Charissa) Andree, Staci (Selby Proud) Harcharik, Jason (Lindsey) Andree. Her love extended to her cherished great-grandchildren, Cali, Ashlyn, Steven, Breanna, Anthony, Michael, Andrew, Jackson, Joey, Brayden, Bradley, Kennedy, Evelyn, Stella, Bennett, Gretchen, Gwenyth and Vivienne.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband Jim; her son, David Andree; her daughter-in-law, Sue Andree and her brothers, Glenn and Gene Morrison.
Eileen was a graduate of Ottawa High School, Class of 1951. Soon after, she embraced life as a farmer’s wife with dedication. Whether she was driving a combine, preparing meals for the hardworking farm crew or taking in a golden sunset from the seat of a John Deere tractor, Eileen found immense joy in the life she and Jim built together. In addition to her work on the farm, she dedicated 27 years to JCPenney, where she made lasting friendships and shared her warm spirit with customers and coworkers alike.
A woman of deep faith, Eileen was a member of Holy Trinity Lutheran Church. She found happiness in simple joys – playing euchre, square dancing and camping with her dear friends, Bill and Marian Stasell. She was always ready for an adventure, bringing laughter and warmth wherever she went.
Even in her later years at The Villas of Hollybrook, Eileen remained as vibrant as ever. She was a social butterfly who thrived in the company of friends, enjoying crafts, card games and lively conversations. Her energy, kindness and love for life touched everyone who knew her.
She will be deeply missed but forever remembered in the hearts of those who knew and loved her.
Memorials contributions may be made to Holy Trinity Lutheran Church in her honor.
