Frank Coop Obituary

  Frank A. Coop, 65, of Streator passed away Friday, March 18, 2022 at Rush University Medical Center in Chicago.

  Funeral services will be private.  The Solon-Telford Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.

  Born July 25, 1956 in Joliet he was the son of Charles and Betty (Hulbert) Coop.  He married Therese (Arkels) Simpson on December 29, 2008.

  He is survived by his wife Therese Coop of Streator; daughter, Angie (Mark) Ciulla of Normal; sons Cody (Kellsey Stoudt) Coop of Dixon, Ben Simpson (Staci Krominga) of Streator and Tony Simpson of Streator; his mom, Betty Voytko of Streator; sisters, Lynette (Paul) Wilson of Paso Robles, California, Robbie Voytko of Morris and Betty Groom of Memphis; brother, John (Heidi) Coop of Oswego; grandchildren, Cooper Ciulla, Carsyn Ciulla, Shaydyn Ristau, Avery Coop and Tony Simpson.

  He was preceded in death by his father, Charles Coop; and sister, Jeanne Conner.

  Frank was raised in the Streator area and attended Streator Grade Schools and graduated from Woodland High School.

  He worked through the years for Vactor Manufacturing, Anthony Liftgates, Inc. and retired from Sewer Equipment Company of America in Dixon. 

  He was an outdoorsman and enjoyed hunting, fishing and boating on Buffalo Lake in Wisconsin where he loved to spend time at his Lake House.  He also enjoyed cars and tinkering with them.  Most of all he loved spending time with his wife, children and grandchildren.  He will be dearly missed by his loving family.

  Memorials may be directed to St. Jude’s Children’s Hosptial.
